MOSCOW, Dec 13 (PRIME) -- Russian oil company Tatneft seeks to resume contracts in Libya, Lev Dengov, head of the Russian contact group on intra-Libyan settlement, told PRIME in an interview on Wednesday.
“I met with representatives of oil company Tatneft, which had contracts signed in the period of (Muammar) Gaddafi, in Libya. They are now determined to resume their work in Libya,” he said.
Tatneft previously suspended operations in Libya due to military operations and the unstable situation in the country.
Russia’s business mission to Libya in 2018 will include representatives of the energy sector and probably of transport corporations, as well as representatives of the Industry and Trade Ministry and the Agriculture Ministry, Dengov also said.
Talks about restoration of oil storages in Libya by Russian companies will start next year, he also said.
